Stumps Cause More Problems Than They Look
Pest Habitat
Rotting stumps attract termites, carpenter ants, and wood-boring beetles — which can then spread to your house or other healthy trees.
Fungal Spread
Honey fungus and other root diseases colonize stumps and spread underground to surrounding trees and shrubs.
Tripping Hazard
Especially dangerous when buried by grass or leaves. Hidden stumps damage lawn mowers and are a liability with kids and guests.
Persistent Sprouting
Many species — maple, cherry, cottonwood — will repeatedly send up shoots from the stump. Grinding stops the cycle permanently.
Property Value & Curb Appeal
Leftover stumps read as unfinished work. Grinding restores a clean yard that's ready for landscaping or sale.
Replanting Options
Once ground and filled, the space is ready for a new tree, sod, a garden bed, or hardscape — your choice.
What's Included
Fully Cleaned Up, Not Just Ground
A lot of companies grind the stump and leave a pile of chips and a hole. We don't. Every job includes cleanup and a finished-looking result — because the stump removal isn't done until your yard is ready for what's next.
Stump ground below grade
We grind 8–12 inches below the surface — deep enough to stop sprouting and allow healthy fill.
Surface roots addressed
Major surface roots within 3–4 feet of the stump are ground back so they don't continue to heave or trip.
Chips removed or spread
You choose: we haul the chips away, or spread them as mulch in your garden beds.
Hole backfilled
We fill the void with a mix of topsoil and chips to bring the area back to grade, ready for sod or seed.
